just a question to admins/programmer

do you guys have ddos protection? rscemulation is infamous for ddos'ing other servers to keep them offline to get people to play theres. just a heads up cause ive seen people do it that play there server last year

DDOS is where you overwhelm the server with multiple repeated commands so it shuts down. Google "DDOS attacks" and they explain it on there on multiple topics. its one of the main issues with servers not staying online. rscemulation even got ddos'd after they banned a player that didn't agree with his ban, so he shut the server down.

a ddos attack dosent means a server shutting down.... depends on how stabel and good running the server is....
a ddos attack is just ''spamming'' a holy many things in same time... gets high ping.. or/els crash..

yea, im sorry i didnt mean shut down. it just crashes till the spamming stops. pretty much shuts it down for all the players, Just like whats going on right now, might not be ddos but this is exactly what happends when it does get attacked

Ddos attacks are expensive and time consuming it can be done with hacking multiple computers and overwhelming a server with data to the point it shuts down or operates really slow. i spend 1500$ a year for my server and protection right now. i can say that for not much more i can have the best DDOS protection on the market.

Im not worried what so ever about an attack.

ohh ok! thanks for explaining it, is the server just crashing recently than? its been down around the same time yesterday and today.

No, the reason why the server keeps going on and off is because of me. I am trying to keep everything updated so I have to turn server on and off. I'm thinking about doing a 1 to 2 months update, like anything major would mean it would have to wait until that time is up to be updated. I will work on minor bugs and stuff like that. I am in need of a developer/coder.

Nami knows how to code, I'm going back to work the 3rd so my times gonna be super limited, I'm only on now a lot cause I had 2 surgerys on my hand n was laid off for 6 months, can't build houses with a stitched up hand check Mopar, there's a developing section, maybe you can have a programmer join the team!
